JOP Form.
To All Authors
As you know JOP is written for both health care professionals
and the lay public. It is important to remember this when
you are writing. Because of this, we require that every
submission (except comments by readers) must be read
by at least three people (excluding yourself) with at least
one of them being a doctor (medical doctor or osteopathic
physician) and one being a lay person. Thus, before submission,
four people (including yourself) have reviewed the transcript,
that it is grammatically correct and is professionally written
but yet is easy to understand.
Authors, please write in the most succinct way to get the
point across and do your best to make the manuscript visually
appealing! We definitely want illustrations, graphs, etcs...we
also would like authors to send a picture of themselves and
a short biography on themselves (One paragraph)
to make the articles more personal.
Generally, we will let you know within one month, if
your article is:
• Accepted “as is” for submission (in
the journal),
• If revisions need to be made and then the article
resubmitted,
• If we
would like to post it on the website, but not in the journal,
• Or it is rejected
and the reasons for rejection.
Submit Your Article for Approval
To
submit an article for approval, if you have not already,
please read through the guidelines first,
then fill out the form to upload your article. You
will not be able to send your article unless you have
entered ALL of the required information.
