Dr. Clark discusses the use of PRP in the field of Prolotherapy and makes the point that this so-called “new” technique “uses the body’s own cells to heal itself” is really another form of Prolotherapy. Prolotherapy physicians have been using this technique of stimulating the body to heal itself since the 1930′s and at a fraction of the costs! Before jumping on the PRP bandwagon, look into standard Prolotherapy which has been and continues to be extremely successful in helping patients get rid of their pain and sports injuries. PRP has it’s place, but it is not needed in every case.
