Robert W. Alexander, MD, DMD, FICS


Robert W. Alexander, MD, DMD, FICSRobert Alexander holds doctorates in Medicine (University of Florida) and Dentistry (St. Louis University) and is the author of multiple publications and book chapters on the subject of aesthetic, reconstructive, and cranio-maxillofacial surgery. Recipient of many awards and recognitions for advancement in each of these areas of interest, he is an invited Fellow of the International College of Surgeons (Plastic). Dr. Alexander did his surgical and specialty Residency Training at University of Texas, Southwestern Medical School (Parkland Memorial Hospital and John Peter Smith Hospital). Following Residency Training, he served as Departmental Chairman, University of Florida (JHEP) until 1975 when he established a private practice of aesthetic and reconstructive surgery in the Seattle area. Beginning in 1990-2008, Dr. Alexander provided an accredited, one year, post-residency Fellowship Training Program, emphasizing aesthetic surgical training for highly qualified applicants. He currently practices in Washington and Montana in his primary specialty, with long-term experience and interest in applied clinical research. He holds a faculty appointment at the University of Washington, School of Medicine and Dentistry. In 2005, his presentations on use of high density platelet-rich plasma concentrates to sports medicine, Prolotherapists, and orthopedic-regenerative medicine practitioners led to important contributions in use of adipose-derived stem-stromal cells with HD PRP for musculoskeletal, wound healing, and regenerative applications. Donna D. Alderman, DO


Donna D. Alderman, DODonna Alderman, DO is a graduate of Western University of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific, in Pomona, California, with undergraduate degree in nutrition from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. She attended the first Gustav A. Hemwall, MD Prolotherapy injection seminar in 1998 and has extensive training in Prolotherapy and Platelet Rich Plasma Prolotherapy. She teaches and is on the Board of Trustees of the American Osteopathic Association of Prolotherapy Integrative Pain Management and a member of the American Association of Orthopedic Medicine. Patrick C. Astourian, MS, PA-C


Patrick C. Astourian, MS, PA-CPatrick is a PA with experience in urgent care, rheumatology and orthopedics. He was a USAF medic for eight years. He has been using musculoskeletal ultrasound since 10/2006 and gave a MSK US presentation at the Boston ACR convention in Nov 2007. He has given hands-on MSK training to multiple doctors in pain management, PM&R, rheumatology, sports medicine and orthopaedics. Sherman O. Canapp Jr., DVM, MS, CCRT


Sherman O. Canapp Jr., DVM, MS, CCRTDr. Sherman Canapp, originally from Maryland, completed a combined DVM/MS at Kansas State University, an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the University of Missouri, followed by a three-year residency in small animal surgery at the University of Florida. Dr. Canapp is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons and Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Canapp is certified in Canine Rehabilitation and was elected as the founding president of the American Association of Rehabilitation Veterinarians (AARV). Dr. Canapp currently practices orthopedic surgery and sports medicine at the Veterinary Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Group (VOSM) in Annapolis Junction, MD where he is Chief of Staff. He is also a consultant for national working and performance dog organizations, as well as pharmaceutical companies and veterinary and medical schools. His particular area of interest is sports medicine and minimally invasive surgery, specifically canine sports related injury, regenerative medicine and arthroscopy. Gary B. Clark, MD, MPA


Gary B. Clark, MD, MPAGary B. Clark, MD, MPA is currently the Medical Director of the Center for Healing Injury and Pain and Boulder Prolotherapy in Boulder, Colorado. Dr. Clark earned a BA and MD from University of Colorado, interned in Pediatrics at Yale-New Haven Hospital; and completed his residency and board certification in Pathology and Neuropathology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and Armed Forces Institute of Pathology. Dr. Clark also earned a Masters Degree in Public Administration with Special Study in Organizational Development at George Washington University. Jörn Funck, MD


Jörn Funck, MDDr. Funck grew up in Luebeck, Germany. After receiving his MD from the University of Hamburg in 1968 he completed his trauma surgery and orthopedic surgeon training in Hannover and Braunschweig, Germany. After finishing his clinical education he left the operating branch and switched to muscoloskeletal medicine, as well as manual therapy, opening his own private office in Luebeck in 1975. In Bremen, Germany, Dr. Funck took up studies in orthopedic medicine, focusing on Cyriax diagnosis and treatment of soft tissues. He studied manual therapy with Prof. Tilscher from Vienna who first introduced him to Prolotherapy for low back pain patients. Gerald R. Harris, DO


Gerald R. Harris, DOGerald R. Harris, DO, received his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin, medical school at the University of North Texas Health Science Center, and Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine for his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree. He has had extensive training in Prolotherapy and has been practicing Prolotherapy since the early 1990’s. Ross A. Hauser, MDRoss A. Hauser, MD received his undergraduate degree from University of Illinois. Clive Sinoff, MD


Clive Sinoff, MDClive Sinoff, MD was born and raised in South Africa. He was awarded his medical degree in 1973. Having completed additional training, Dr. Sinoff became board certified in Internal Medicine and subsequently Medical Oncology in South Africa. Medical education and training in South Africa is noted for its clinical emphasis. After moving to Canada in 1987, he completed his Canadian board certification in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology. Dr. Sinoff settled in Cleveland in 1995, and since 2002, has devoted his practice to helping patients with pain. His focus recently has been on Prolotherapy and Laser Therapy, both non-invasive treatments, which have been shown to cause healing of damaged tissues, even after years of pain. Margaret E. Taylor, MBBS, BSC, FACNEMMargaret E. Taylor, MBBS, BSc, FACNEM received her medical degree from the University of Adelaide, Australia in 1973 and specialised in nutritional medicine since 1980. She is a founding fellow and teacher of the Australasian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine. Rodney S. Van Pelt, MD


Rodney S. Van Pelt, MDRodney S. Van Pelt, MD received his medical degree from Loma Linda University Medical School and completed his family practice residency in Florida. He practiced family medicine for several years until falling in love with the specialty of Orthopedic Medicine which uses all the different modalities for pain with conservative treatments. Dr. Van Pelt then received specialized training in the Cyriax technique of Orthopedic Medicine, taking some of his training in Oxford, England. He is one of the few American physicians who is a member of the Society of Orthopedic Medicine of London, England. Dr. Van Pelt practices full time Prolotherapy in northern California.
